30 plants a week checklist

Make variety visible. Check the plant foods you eat this week, then find something different for your next meal.

How this tool works

This checklist counts each listed plant once per week. Repeating oats does not add another point. Different colors or forms of the same plant do not earn extra points here. Add herbs and spices if useful, but this is a simple habit count, not a validated dietary score.

A worked example

Oats on Monday and Wednesday count once. Adding lentils and carrots brings the list to three distinct plants.

Before you use the result

The American Gut Project found an association between plant variety and gut microbial diversity. It was observational; 30 is not a proven treatment threshold. Variety does not override allergies, IBS tolerance, or prescribed restrictions.

Do frozen and canned foods count?

Yes. This checklist follows plant variety, not freshness or price. Choose forms that suit you.

Is my list saved?

Only if you select “Save on this device.” Browser storage can be cleared and is visible to others using the same browser profile. Printing gives you a separate copy.
