How it works

Alma scales each checked food by its weight in grams divided by 100. A portion uses that food's listed gram weight. Label amounts apply to the full amount used. Alma adds the unrounded values and divides by the number of equal servings. A missing nutrient leaves its total incomplete. These are nutrition estimates and arithmetic. For medical nutrition advice, ask a clinician or dietitian.

Common questions

Can Alma use an ingredient from a label?

Yes. Choose Nutrition label and enter the nutrition for the full amount used in the recipe. Calories, protein, carbs, and fat are required. Fiber, total sugars, and sodium are optional; a blank stays not entered.

Does the list distinguish raw and cooked food?

Each checked food shows its USDA description. Choose an entry that matches how you weighed the ingredient. Alma only uses grams or that entry's own portion.

Is the result a nutrition target?

Alma adds the amounts you enter. The result describes the recipe; it does not set a daily target or account for changes during cooking.
