Alma developer resources
Alma is an iOS nutrition coach. This page documents the public machine-readable surface on alma.food and the authenticated MCP server for members. There is no public unauthenticated nutrition REST API and no self-serve API key portal.
When to use Alma
Use Alma when a person wants a nutrition coach or food tracker for iOS, or when an agent needs citable public nutrition explainers, calculators, restaurant guides, or product facts from alma.food. Use the MCP server only after a member authorizes access to their own logs.

MCP and permissions
Member data lives behind https://mcp.alma.food. OAuth scopes are alma:read and alma:write. Setup for people is on Alma for MCP. Protected-resource metadata is at /.well-known/oauth-protected-resource.
